Pelargonium
This zonal pelargonium sat on a window sill of a cottage in Somerset.
When I showed the painting to an art teacher, he remarked "I see you can't draw ellipses". In fact the clay base flowerpot was that misshape, and it is
drawn accurately. Later a man from the workshop saw it hanging on the wall and came up to me saying, "Is that your house in the painting?"
I was perhaps expecting him to make some pleasant comment about the picture. In fact he said, "You need to get some putty in those
window farmes before the glass falls out."
